The Business of Web 2.0

They say that Web 2.0 is all about collaboration and the interactive social culture of the Internet. But the reality is that Web 2.0 is big business for some, as evidenced by recent acquisitions and lawsuits. So, while the concept of Web 2.0 is defined by a large community of consumers engaging in user-generated social environments and conversations; the business of it is defined more and more by large corporations attempting to capitalize on those same large audiences which gather to use the multitude of products and services being developed within those communities.
